Above - This remarkable picture shows oil on a Stone Water-Guard treated surface 48 hours after it has been dropped on the surface. You can see quite clearly that the oil droplets remain proud of the surface and have not penetrated the Stone Water-Guard treated surfaces at all. This oil repellent nature is ideal for stone surfaces where motor oil spillages occur or where bund wall protective coatings are required

Stone Water Guard SWG-
Silicone and solvents are generally used in liquid and cream Stone waterproofers, neither of them are biodegradable. SWG does not contain either and is 95% biodegradable.
Silicone acts as a waterproofer by blockin​g the capillaries of stone, but this will also prevent water vapour movement through the structure. This causes water vapour to be trapped and cause condensation and mould growth. Whereas SWG naturally allows water vapour to be released.
The creams are very difficult to apply to uneven stone or brick surfaces. Whereas SWG, applied with a sprayer efficiently covers the whole surface evenly.
